Knowing Christ – A Joy Let Go, Take hold, Press on. If I asked you, “Do you know Christ?” you might think that I am being silly. In this passage we are going to look in light of God’s word “DO WE REALLY KNOW CHRIST?” OR “KNOW ABOUT CHRIST?” What is knowing Christ means? Ginosko and Oida are the two Greek words which is used in Bible for knowing. Ginosko – to know by experience in a intimate and personal way. Oida – to know by observation or have knowledge of. It was Paul’s prayer that we grow in Ginosko (Personal and intimate knowledge) Philippians 3:8,10. Knowing Christ is not Working for Christ. We always confuse knowing with working. It is like telling I know the CEO of the company because I work for him, but you will agree with me that this knowing is very peripheral, there is nothing deeper or personal in it.
